We never ‘get healed’ from PTSD, what we do is learn to manage it better. There are good days and there are bad days. I might have 30 great days and day 31 kicks my butt. That doesn’t mean I am a failure, it just means I have to give myself permission to ask my friends and family to give me a little room so I can line the ducks up again.
