Xavier Webb entered the Marine Corps at the age of 18. Did his time, saw his share, experienced his share and rotated out with 80% disability.
For 10 years he has tried to put it all behind him and move forward, but just couldn’t seem to do it. The V.A. couldn’t help. The therapy didn’t work, the pills robbed him of motivation, and the booze destroyed his relationship.
He got a hold of #dealwithit – living well with PTSD and was so touched and changed he drove four hours on a Saturday to have lunch with Melissa and myself.
Here are just some of the lessons he says he has learned from the book.
1) Develop a back Deck Crew
2) Surrender the Spoon
3) Reflections from a PTSD wife
